Uncovering the Real Rahul: Beyond Work and Studying
The most frequent question people ask me is about finding motivation. But it is not just about motivation; it is about discovering the real Rahul and understanding that success is not just aboutwork and studies.
The Secret to Finding Motivation
Discovering your why is the key. What gets your heart racing and eyes sparkling? That one thing that even on dreariest Monday morning makes you jump out of bed. Once you uncover your motivation, consistency becomes your sidekick, not an elusive creature playing hide and seek.
Building a little army of habits - small, manageable habits - even on laziest days, creates a momentum that resists stubborn moods. Mix passion with persistence; when the going gets tough, passion is the fire that keeps you warm and persistence is the fuel that keeps it burning.
Overcoming Self-Doubt and Procrastination
While motivation can be difficult to cultivate, quick-fix solutions don’t work. Motivation relies on liking what you do and being confident in achieving it. A student struggling to pass their B Tech degree may lack confidence in getting into prestigious institutions, while a student excelling in studies and enjoying learning feels naturally motivated.
Going Beyond the Surface
When someone asked me, 'Who are you in your free time? Do you even have a life beyond work and studying?', it made me realize the importance of staying true to myself. Not everyone needs to think I'm a workaholic who always talks tech. I love talking to people, reading, and participating in various hobby groups.
Rahul loves talking to people. I enjoy conversing with random individuals, gaining life lessons from various perspectives. Metro and Uber conversations have taught me a lot. Rahul loves reading. I read at least 12 pages of a book every night before sleeping. Books are a constant, providing a sense of stability and storyline.
Engaging in Passionate Activities
Rahul loves the Toastmaster platform. I visit random clubs and participate in meetings, making a lot of new friends. Rahul is part of an entrepreneurs group called KE Entrepreneurs, a platform for brainstorming and providing a support system for startups. Additionally, Rahul is part of three NGOs, teaching underprivileged kids and helping elderly parents during lockdowns with social media and web-sharing applications.
Rahul loves writing. I've written consistently on platforms like Quora and WordPress, achieving about 110,000 views, and part-time content writing. Writing gives me a channel to break free and express my true self.
These diverse activities show that Rahul enjoys putting his heart and soul into what he does. Whether it's work, hobbies, or personal relationships, passion is the driving force.
Thank you for reading this rant, and I hope to meet the real Rahul you've missed out on meeting.
